Lake District hen weekends work nothing like city ones. There’s no taxi into town and no bar crawl. It’s twelve or thirteen of you in a big house near Windermere, Ambleside or Keswick, a hot tub out the back, and three days to fill. The Friday night is almost always the one nobody has planned properly — everyone has arrived, the shopping is unpacked, and there are five hours to get through. That is exactly the gap we fill.
